Undue favour to Prakash Jha by Nitish govt: Sinha

Patna, July 12 (UNI) Samata Party today accused the state government of committing serious 'irregularities' by leasing out the precious land of the state capital to noted film producer and director Prakash Jha at a throw away price.

Raising fingers at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Samata Party President P K Sinha told newspersons here that state government had given one acre of land at Patliputra Industrial Development Area of Patna to Mr Jha at throw away price, which resulted into loss of more than Rs 4 crores to the state exchequer.

He alleged that more than 125 acres of lands of Bettiah town area were given to a firm which functions only on papers.

Mr Sinha said that Managing Director(MD) of the firm which had been given lands, enjoyed close contact with JD(U) MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh. The other associates were also said to be non-entity of industrial fraternity.

Demanding dismissal of Mr Kumar and a thorough probe into the irregularities, Mr Sinha threatened to move the court to expose the alleged land scam.
