Two fishermen drown in Kolab reservoir

Koraput, Jul 12 (UNI) Two fisherman drowned in Kolab reservoir, 10 kms from here, yesterday when they ventured into the reservoir for fishing.

Police said the two fisherman, from Hadiguda and Duruguda village, were fishing in the reservoir when suddenly one of them slipped into the water.

His friend tried to rescue him, but he too got drowned in the waters.

Later, the people from the nearby villages informed the Revenue and fire brigade to retrieve the bodies.

A few days back nine people drowned in the same reservoir.
