Two arrested in Congressman attack case

Porbandar, July 12 (UNI) Two persons were today arrested in connection with the attack on a Congress supporter and close aide of the Opposition leader of Gujarat Legislative Assembly Arjun Modhwadia on July 8.

The two -- Lakhu Jiva and Vikhu Bhima -- were nabbed from Modhvada village by the police for allegedly attacking Vanadha Lilabhai Modhwadia, with axe and other sharp weapons at his village. Three more are also involved, police said.

The cause of the attack was said to be an old enmity. A complaint has been registered and search was on to nab the other five absonding accused.
