Top Hamas commander hurt in Gaza strike says army
JERUSALEM, July 12 (Reuters) Mohammad Deif, the commander of Hamas's armed wing and top of Israel's most wanted list, is thought to have been hurt in an Israeli air strike on a building in Gaza today, the army said.
''We know he was injured, but not to what degree,'' said an army spokeswoman, without giving details as to the source of the information. ''He was in the building,'' she said.
Hamas has not said exactly which of its commanders were in the building at the time of the air raid. At least six Palestinians were killed.
