SW monsoon vigorous in Ganjectic WB; active in Bihar, UP

Pune, July 12 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Gangetic West Bengal and active in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and Kerala.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were markedly below normal in Rajasthan.

Heavy rain are likely to occur at most places in coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at many places in Gangetic West Bengal Jharkhand, Bihar and Konkan and Goa.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttar Padesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka and at a few places in Orissa, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in west Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Heavy rains have occured at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Kerala and at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Haryana and east Rajasthan.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat and Marathwada.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Rayalseema, north interior Karnataka and at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at isolatd places in Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch and Telangana.
