Suicide bomber kills 7 in Baghdad restaurant

BAGHDAD, July 12 (Reuters) A suicide bomber today walked into a restaurant in eastern Baghdad and blew himself up, killing seven people and wounding 20, police said.

The blast came as US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, in an unannounced visit to Iraq, held security talks in Baghdad's fortified ''Green Zone'' with Iraqi leaders and US military commanders amid worsening sectarian violence that has renewed fears of a slide to civil war.
