State Government Employees to receive more DA allowence

Agartala, July 12 (UNI) Tripura Government today decided to release another instalment of Dearnass Allowence (DA) to state government employees.

This was decided at a cabinet meeting at the Secretariat.

The meeting, headed by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, took this decision to release another five per cent DA with effect from July.

Briefing mediapersons, acting Finance Minister Keshab Majumdar said the state government had so far released 59 per cent DA allowance compared to the Central Government's release of 74 per cent. With today's decision the state's share of DA will rise to 64 per cent. ''The decision was taken keeping in mind the increase in prices of essential commodities in the last few months,'' said Majumdar.
