Soyabean meal export up by 39 per cent in June

Indore, July 12 (UNI) Export of soyabean meal registered a growth of 39.33 per cent during June this year at 1,68,999 million tonnes (MT) as against 1,21,290 MT during the same period last year.

Total export of soyabean meal in April to June this year stood at 7,61,498 MT as against 3,86,818 MT during the same quarter last year, showing an increase of 96.86 per cent, Soyabean Processers Association of India (SOPA) Chairman Rajesh Agrawal said.

He said the export figures on the oil year (October-September) basis show a commendable performance by the trade.

Exports during the period October'05 to June'06 were 35,10,764 MT as compared to 15,45,651 MT during the same period the previous year registering a 127.14 per cent growth.
