Sonia Gandhi arrives in Mumbai with Shivraj Patil, Lalu Yadav
Mumbai, July 11: United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi arrived here along with Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad tonight, in aftermath of the serial blasts in the metropolis in which nearly 150 people were killed and more than 400 injured.
The three leaders arrived at 0002 hrs and were received by Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.
After their arrival, the leaders immediately drove to visit the injured in Bhabha hospital, Bandra, and V N Desai hospital .
After their visit to hospitals, the leaders will attend a high level meting at Sahaydri Guest House in South Mumbai to review the situation.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh accompanied the Union Ministers and Ms Gandhi. Speaking to reporters, Mr Patil condemned the blasts and said the Centre was committed to curb terror in all forms. ''We have to unitedly fight terror and maintain peace'', he said.
Ms Gandhi visited the hospitals and inquired about the well being of the injured.
