Simplex bags Rs 171 cr order from Rail Vikas Nigam

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) Simplex Infrastructures Ltd today announced that it has bagged a Rs 171 crore project from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd for doubling of track on Gooty-Pullampet section of South Central Railway in Andhra Pradesh.

The project is scheduled for completion in 30 months.

''This is a yet another significant project for Simplex. This stretch is 150 km long and after completion will facilitate speedy transit,'' Simplex Infrastructures Director Amitabh Das Mundhra said.

The scope of work for Simplex would include the construction of a seperate track parallel to the existing one allowing to-and-fro movement of trains. The company would also be involved in the construction of minor stations and river bridges that would fall within the stretch.

Simples Infrastructures has a turnover of Rs 1,345 crore and has completed more than 2000 projects in India, including Howrah Bridge, Supreme Court, Reliance Jamnagar unit, Jamshedpur and Burnpur Steel Plant.
