Silver, gold shoots up on bullish global advice

Mumbai, July 12: Prices of silver and gold shot up on bullish global advice, in the opening session, according to traders in the bullion market today.

Following were the opening rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 18,000, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,605, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,650.
