Sania yet to play her best tennis: Bhupathi
Kolkata, Jul 12 (UNI) Mahesh Bhupathi without paying much heed into her early exits from two seccessive granmd slams today said Sania Mirza's best tennis is still some two years in the offing.
Talking to the media, while announcing Martina Hyngis as a participant for the Sunfeast, world Doubles specialist Mahesh Bhupathi said, ''There is nothing much to be seen from her early exits. She is falling far short of the kind of tennis she is capable of.'' ''But she will improve. She is on an upward slope and in about three years time she will break into the top 10. She has that in her.'' ''She will be at her prime when around 22,'' Mahesh said, whose Globosports manages Sania Mirza's career.
Sania Mirza has recently dropped to World No 40 on WTA rankings after early exits from Roland Garros and Wimbledon. But the Hyderabadi dazzler has shown indifferent even after brilliant starts that has cost her a few spots over the last few months.
About his own career, Mahesh said he will be heading for america for the US open. Asked if he had decided on any partner having changed Westley Moody and Xavier in two tournaments, he said, ''No, just mix and match.'' UNI BA SJC SI HS2136
