'Rockets, gunfire from Lebanon hit N Israel'
Jerusalem, Jul 12: Gunmen in Lebanon today shelled northern Israel and fired at Israeli border troops, Israeli security sources said.
The Israeli emergency rescue service ZAKA said there was at least one casualty in the morning barrage near Shlomi, a frontier town about 15 km east of the Mediterranean coast.
An Israeli security source said Hizbollah or Palestinian guerrillas were believed to be behind the attack, which coincided with a major Israeli military incursion in the Gaza Strip.
