Robbers fail to open bank vault, destroy computers, furniture
Hyderabad, Jul 12 (UNI) Robbers who gained entry into the State Bank of India Branch in Chevella Town in the neighbouring Ranga Reddy District, destroyed furniture and computers in the bank.
According to police, unidentified men managed to gain entry into the bank by cutting open the iron bars of a window and were apparently disappointed when they could not open the vault.
Police suspect the robbers destroyed the furniture and computers out of frustration.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravindra Naik who visited the bank told newsmen investigations were underway.
Bank sources said the bank's vault contained over Rs one crore at the time of the incident.
