Ram Janmabhoomi security being strengthened
Ayodhya, July 12 (UNI) To prevent the repeat of the fidayeen attack at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex here, security is being beefed up at the site.
Official sources today said about Rs 3.70 crore are being spent on fortifying the high-security disputed complex.
The new security plan includes putting up new barricades and construction of a temporary generator room.
On July 5, 2005, heavily armed militants had stormed the Ram Janmabhoomi after carrying out a blast at the outer wall of the complex.
The fidayeen were, however, liquidated by security personnel deployed at the site.
Later, five terrorists Shakil, Naseem Ahmad, Asif Iqbal, Aziz and Irfan were arrested for providing SIM card and sophisticated weapons to the five terrorists.
