Rajnath's claim about DMK joining NDA totally false: MK
Chennai, July 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi today dismissed as false, BJP President Rajnath Singh's claim that the DMK was keeping in touch with him for joining the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
In a statement here, Mr Karunanidhi said the DMK was part of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) right from its inception and there was no question of any change in its stand.
He said the BJP leader's claim that there was a rift in the UPA and there were possibilities of some of the allies, like the DMK joining the NDA were absolutely false.
''It is totally false on the part of Mr Singh to say that parties like Telugu Desam and DMK are keeping in touch with him,'' Mr Karunanidhi said adding there was no need for the DMK to keep in touch with Mr Singh.
''Whatever Mr Rajanath Singh had said about DMK is totally false,'' the DMK leader asserted.
