One killed due to rain in Punjab

Chandigarh, Jul 12 (UNI) One person was killed and eight others were injured when the wall of a police station collapsed in Ludhiana city of Punjab due to heavy rains overnight.

The deceased was identified as Ram Kishen, a migrant labourer, who was standing in a queue along with other labourers for verification at the police station when its wall gave way.

The injured were admitted to the civil hospital of the city.
