New Postmaster-General takes over charge

Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 12 (UNI) Dr Uday Balakrishnan has taken over as Chief Postmaster-General, Kerala circle.

An officer of the 1975 Indian Postal Service, he had served as Director of Postal Service, Principal of Postal Training Centre and Director in the Ministry of Labour prior to the present appointment.

Dr Balakrishnan had also served as Registrar of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, for over six years.
