Muslims perform 'yajna' against terrorism

Varanasi, July 12 (UNI) A large number of Muslims joined their Hindu brethern to perform a 'yajna' against terrorism here today.

The 'Atankwad Virodhi yajna' performed under the auspices of two voluntary organisations -- Prerna and Vande Mataram Sangharsh Samiti (VMSS) -- saw Muslims taking vows to curb terrorism.

The 'yajna' was performed amid chants of vedic mantras by Badaruddin of Prerna and Anoop Jaiswal of VMSS.

''We strongly condemn the Mumbai blasts and appeal to the entire nation to activly cooperate in a decisive battle against terrorism,'' Badaruddin said.
