Muslim organisations condemn terror attack on Mumbai

Bangalore, July 12 (UNI) As many as 19 Muslim organisations in Karnataka today condemned the terror attack on Mumbai yesterday in which over 180 people lost their lives and urged the government to hunt down the perpetrators of the violence and subject them to the law of the land.

In a joint release here, the Organisations said ''The dastardly attack is a manifestation of the frustration of the merchants of terror who have been defeated in their game of cowing down the state.

''We mourn the massive loss of lives and appreciate the sense of cooperation and resilience among the folk of Mumbai city.'' The Organisations also urged the people to maintain peace and promote fraternal bonds to strenthen the society and the country.

The release was issued by various organisations including Jamiat Ulema, Karnataka, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka and Goa, All India Milli Council, Students Islamic Organisation of India, Karnataka, National Council for Social Justice and Centre for Objective Studies.
