MPCC convenes meet to discuss blasts

Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today convened an emergency meeting of party office-bearers to discuss the situation in the Mumbai in wake of the serial train blasts which has left nearly 200 dead.

Party spokesman Hussain Dalwai said a blood donation camp has been organised at the party office at ''Tilak Bhavan'' in central Mumbai on Sunday.

MPCC president Prabha Rau praised Mumbaikars for showing grit and determination in facing the terror strike and coming out in large numbers to help the injured and stranded persons.

Condemning the blasts, she said it was an attempt to create divisions in society.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai unit of the Congress party, headed by Lok Sabha member Gurudas Kamat, has announced a cash Reward of Rs five lakh to anyone who could provide vital clues to the police leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the crime.
