Girija Prasad Koirala discharged from hospital

Kathmandu, Jul 12: Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has been discharged from Martyr Ganga Lal Hospital here after undergoing treatment for more than a week.

Doctors attending Mr Koirala said his health condition is normal.

Mr Koirala was said to be suffering pneumonia. The 84-year-old veteran politician of Nepal has been ill for the last few months.

He will resume the work from today, an official at the Prime Minister's office said.

A team of Indian doctors was also called to see Mr Koirala when he was admitted to the hospital last week.

The Prime Minister had returned from Bangkok after the prostrate surgery last month.
