ITC Infotech launches interline e-ticketing offshore testing service

Bangalore, July 12 (UNI) The US Dollar 60 million ITC Infotech, one of India's fastest growing IT services and solutions providers, has announced the launch of its Interline e-Ticketing Offshore Testing Service, on the sidelines of the Travel and Distribution Exposition, Europe.

ITC Infotech India Vice-President Khem Aithani said at the exhibition, ''At ITC Infotech, we understand the industry standards required for electronic interline ticketing, using different Global Distribution Systems. Our testing process ensures our clients' compliance with quality and integrity standards prescribed by IATA's General Business Rules and specific Interline agreements.'' The company, in a release here, said ITC Infotech testing team had both domain and technical expertise to successfully undertake such assignments.

Interline e-ticketing would allow a passenger to use a single e-ticket to travel on various airlines. ITC Infotech was currently providing the testing service to a leading European airline. This service enabled the airline to minimise the testing timelines and reduce costs extensively through the offshore model.

ITC Infotech, as a technology and testing partner, was playing a catalytic role in the client's business transformation process and was helping it achieve the 2007 deadline set by IATA for adopting interline e-ticketing, the release said.
