IG reviews security arrangement in Jammu

Jammu, July 12 (UNI) Inspector General of Police (IG) S P Vaid today conveyed a meeting of all police officers of Jammu district to review the security arrangement in the wake of the serial blasts in Mumbai and Srinagar.

The IGP reviewed the deployment of NAKAS forces posted at vulnerable places in Jammu and directed the police officers to remain extra vigilant regarding surveillance of anti-social and anti national elements and to curb their nefarious designs before they could strike.

Special attention was paid for the security of Amarnath pilgrimes at different places. Instructions were given to the officers that during checking and frisking it should be ensured that general public should not be harassed.

Those who attended the meeting include SSP Jammu, SP North, Addl, S.P. Jammu SDPO's and SHO,s of Jammu district.
