High alert in Goa
Panaji, Jully 11 (UNI) The international tourist destination of Goa has been put on ''high alert'' following serial blasts in Mumbai today. The state director general of police Neeraj Kumar told UNI that patrolling had been intensified at the railway stations, bus stands and airport besides maintaining a strict vigil at all vulnerable areas and vital installations in the island state as a precautionary measure.
In fact, police claimed to have prevented a terrorist attack a few months ago with the arrest of a suspected terrorist from Kashmir now undergoing trial in a special court in south Goa.
