The gunfight took place between the ultras and troops of the Naga regiment and Meghalaya Police, state Home Minister Robert Garnett Lyngdoh told UNI here today.

One of those killed last night include 'Captain' Rubul Ali, who was on the most wanted list of Asom police and the brain child behind the recent bomb blasts in Guwahati city.

The security forces also seized one AK-81 rifle, one Chinese made M-20 pistol and 134 rounds of live ammunition and four European made grenades from the militant's possession, he said.

Mr Lyngdoh said those killed were ULFA 'Sergeant Major' Probal Dutta, 'Sergeant' Rudra and Dulu.
