Congress objects Shahnawaz's observations on Mumbai blast
Patna, Jul 13 (UNI) Accusing the BJP of 'politicising' the issue of internal security of the country, the Bihar Congress today brushed aside BJP secretary Shahnawaz Hussain's obseravations that 'anti national' forces were gaining 'strength' after the UPA assumed power.
Terming yesterday's Mumbai blasts as 'unfortunate,' state Congress president Sadanand Singh said here that Mr Hussain's comments on the blasts 'carried no weight' and he preferred to forget the simple facts that the Lok Sabha was targetted by terrorists and Pakistani forces 'occupied' Kargil during the former NDA rule.
He said the country had to pass through 'shameful' moments following those incidents, which took place during the previous government's regime.
Mr Singh said, ''Politics and the terrorists' acts should not be mixed up for the larger interest of the country and the BJP's role following the blasts was 'unfortunate'.'' UNI DH JYN DB1939
