Chiranjeevi blood bank donates blood to injured in blasts
Hyderabad, July 12 (UNI) The city-based Chiranjeevi eye and blood bank, a voluntary organisation set up by popular filmstar Chiranjeevi, has organised a blood donation camp in the Maharashtra capital to provide blood to those injured in yesterday's serial bomb blasts in Mumbai.
Informing this to newspersons here, Blood bank manager R Swamy Naidu said 55 members of the Chiranjeevi volunteer blood donars club donated blood in various hosiptals in Mumbai.
He said the blood bank had procured 100 units blood immediately after receiving information of the tragic incident. The blood would be sent to Mumbai this evening.
The volunteers were visiting the hospitals and inquiring about the requirement of blood for the injured undergoing treatment, he added.
