China, Russia circulate draft resolution on N.Korea

BEIJING, July 12 (Reuters) China and Russia circulated their own draft UN resolution on North Korea's missile tests today China's official Xinhua news agency said.

The urgent report carried no additional details of the resolution. But in past days both Beijing and Moscow have criticised a draft resolution about North Korea's recent missile tests that has been backed by Japan and the United States.

The Xinhua report cited the United States ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, as saying China was prepared to offer its own draft resolution as the members of the UN Security Council seek agreement on how to respond to North Korea.
