Chargesheet against former minister for illegal appointment

Patna, July 12 (UNI) Bihar State Vigilance Bureau today filed chargesheet against former Bihar Animal Husbandry Minister Madan Prasad Singh and six others in connection with illegal appointment of teachers and non teaching employees.

The State vigilance bureau filed chargesheet against all the accused in the court of special vigilance Judge Ram Niwas Prasad.

The accused had been charged under the Prevention of Corruption act.

The case is related to illegal appointment of teachers and non teaching employees of Ahalya Women's College, Naugachhia during 1985-86. The accused are also facing charges of tampering with the evidence.

Besides former minister, others against whom chargesheet had been filed included former Principal of the college, Ahalya Devi Singh, lecturer Manisha Lahiri, Gajadhar Prasad, Hulachandra Rungta, Mahesh Prasad Singh and Ramswaroop Singh-- all members of the governing body of the college.
