Bank officer from Mahe killed in Mumbai bomb blast

Pondicherry, July 12 (UNI) A bank employee from Mahe region of the Union Territory of Pondicherry was among the 183 killed in the yesterday's serial bomb blasts in Mumbai.

Pondicherry Health Minister E Valsaraj told newspersons here that 48-year-old R Vinod, a resident of Church road in Mahe, was working as the regional manager of State Bank of India in Mumbai. He was killed in the blasts while returning from office yesterday.

The body, being brought by air, would be taken to his residence at Mahe for the last rites.

Mr Valsaraj expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
