Arunachal BJP condemns Mumbai blast

Itanagar, Jul 12 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh BJP today condemned the series of bomb-blasts in Mumbai yesterday, which killed more than hundred people, and termed it as 'an act of cowardice'. Alleging that the blasts exposed failure of the ruling Congress-led UPA government at the Centre in containing such heinous crime, BJP spokesman Tai Tagak, in a statement, alleged that despite early reports by intelligence agencies, the UPA government failed to avert such blasts.

''The UPA government is accountable to the nation. They must ensure that people live in their own country peacefully,'' Mr Tgak questioned.

The Centre did not ensure safety of the people for political interest by repealing POTA. The previous NDA government brought the act to curb terrorism in the country, he added.

The UPA government, instead of safeguarding people, have moved away from its commitment of offering a peaceful atmosphere to all sections of society, the BJP spokesman alleged.
