AIEEE extends reporting time for admission seekers

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) The Central Counselling Board of the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) today extended till 1700 hrs tomorrow the reporting time for candidates who were offered on-line counselling to allotted institutes in view of the Mumbai serial blasts.

According to an AIEEE statement, the candidates who have been offered admission through on-line Central Counselling, conducted by the Central Counselling Board AIEEE-2006, can report by 1700 hrs tomorrow.

The institutes comprise NITs, IIITs BIT Ranchi, KIIT, SASTRA Thanjavur, Mata Vaishno Devi University and outside seats in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute for Technology.

''The reporting time has been extended due to disruption in traffic in Mumbai after the serial blasts,'' the statement said.

The remaining schedule for counselling and reporting to the institutions for subsequent allotments for FORM-II will remain unchanged, it said.
