Water level in reservoirs rise

Kochi, July 11 (UNI) Water levels of major reservoirs of Kerala have increased following heavy rain in the catchment areas.

According to figures released for the week ending July three by the Central Water Commission, at Idamalayar the level increased from 445.18 ft to 460.17 ft, at Kallada from 333.73 ft to 335.30 ft and at Idukki from 2,315.64 ft to 2,320.54 ft.

When compared with the water levels recorded during the same period last year, Idukki reservoir showed an increase of 13.07 ft, Kallada 10.82 ft and Idamalayar 21.26 ft.
