Volvo to expand operations in K'taka

Bangalore, July 11 (UNI) Sweden's Volvo Bus Corporation has planned to expand its activities in Karnataka following the progress made by its plant near Hoskote in suburban Bangalore, according to company Senior Vice President Rune Lumberg today.

Mr Lumberg called on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy here and discussed about the expansion programme.

Reacting on the expansion idea, Mr Kumaraswamy assured that the cabinet would discuss the proposal and extend all assistance after the high level committee cleared it.

He expressed satisfaction over the service of Volvo buses gers and said the State Transport Corporation would induct more Volvo buses for its services to various destinations in near future.

Transport Minister Cheluvarayaswamy, Major and Medium Industries Minister Katta Subramaniam Naidu and other officials were present during the interaction.
