Vasant Chavan cremated

Pune, July 11 (UNI) The last rites of deceased Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Rajya Sabha member Vasant Chavan were performed at the Mukti Dham crematorium in Cantonment area here late this evening.

The NCP leader was found dead at the MLA Guest House in Mumbai following a severe heart attack this morning.

Among those who attended the funeral were State Irrigation Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar, Energy Minister Dilip Walse-Patil and RPI leader Ramdas Athavale.
