Two fatally knocked down by vehicle

Chennai, Jul 11: Two persons riding on a two-wheeler were fatally knocked down by an undentified vehicle at suburban Guduvancherri last night.

Police said the deceased Abdhul Raheem (24), a tempo lorry owner and his driver Thangaraj (23), were returning to Guduvancherri, after attending personal work at Pallavaram, when the vehicle hit the rear side of their two-wheeler. In the impact, the two were thrown off from their two-wheeler.

The duo was rushed to the Government Hospital, Chrompet, where they succumbed to injuries early today, police said.
