Tiger poacher nabbed in Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 11 (UNI) Absconding tiger poacher Kalya Bavriya, who fled from Sariska on June 17 when brought for interrogation, was arrested by a team of forest officials today in Dausa district.

Dausa's deputy forest conservator V K Sahu said Kalya was arrested from a house located in a field at Kolukala village early today. Kalya had fled from Sariska's Tehla Chowki when he was brought for interrogation by forest officials.

On a tip-off that Kalya was hiding in Dausa district, a team of forest officials arrested him at around 0300 hrs. Kalya was taken to Sariska from there.

The Thanagazi court had given one day remand to Kalya on June 16 , who was then imprisoned in Tehla Chowki in Sariska. He fled from the prison there.

Kalya is accused of poaching at least three dozen tigers in different forests including Sariska.
