Sinha takes charge as IG BSF Assam

Shillong, July 11 (UNI) Mr. Jyoti Prakash Sinha has taken over charge of Inspector General of BSF in-charge Assam and Meghalaya frontier.

A 1971 batch direct entry BSF cadre officer, Mr. Sinha has taken part in counter-insurgency operations in Jammu&Kashmir, Mizoram and Punjab.

After assuming the office, the new IG BSF called on Meghalaya Governor M M Jacob and discussed issues concerning the present security scenario of the state particularly the international boundary with Bangladesh.
