Serial blasts resulted from intelligence failure:Expert

Bhopal, July 11 (UNI) In a reaction to the serial blasts that rocked Mumbai and Srinagar today, a counter-terrorism expert has blamed intelligence failure for the tragedy.

''As long as we have several intelligence agencies, instead of one nodal agency, this is bound to happen,'' Brigadier (Retd) S Dasgupta, who saw active service during the extremism years in Punjab and North-east, told UNI.

''It seems that RDX has been used in Mumbai. In Srinagar, local ruffians seem to have been hired to do the job,'' he said.

An ex-officer of the Gorkha regiment, Brigadier Dasgupta was also an instructor at the High Altitude Warfare School.
