Rupee slipps by 4 paise; closes at Rs 46.17/19 per USD

Mumbai July 11 (UNI) Rupee today eased modestly by four paise to close at Rs 46.17/18 per US Dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 46.13/15, forex dealers said.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 46.15/16 per US Dollar and in the mid-morning session traded low at 46.22 per US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was down at 1.10 per cent and the one year premia was also down at 1.19 per cent.

RBI fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.21 per US Dollar today against Rs 46.06 on previous day.

Rupee vs euro was down at Rs 58.86 (58.64), rupee vs pound sterling was also however, eased at Rs 84.97 (84.73) and agaist yen it however, was up at Rs 40.37(40.38).
