Red alert sounded in Delhi

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) A Red alert has been sounded in Delhi and advisories issued to state governments in the wake of the Mumbai blasts.

Home ministry sources said here today that security had been beefed up in the national capital and state governments asked to maintain vigil in cities and vital installations.

The sources said Home Secretary V K Duggal was in constant touch with the Maharashtra government and was monitoring the situation.
