Pink Floyd co-founder Syd Barrett dies -BBC

LONDON, July 11 (Reuters) Syd Barrett, a founding member of British band Pink Floyd, has died aged 60, the BBC reported today.

The singer and guitarist, who left the band in 1968 and has lived the life of a recluse for the last 30 years, had been suffering from diabetes, but it was not immediately clear what caused his death.

No official confirmation could be immediately obtained.
