Orissa sounded high alert, DGP asks people to maintain peace

Bhubaneswar, Jul 11 (UNI) The Orissa police tonight sounded alert across the state and stepped up security measrues in all vital installations after serial blasts in Mumbai this evening.

Director General of Police Suchit Das said the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and all the Superintendents of Police have been asked to ensure extra vigil in all important places in their respective areas.

The Inspector General of Police (Railways) has been asked to beef up security measures in all the important railway stations and if necessary conduct a thorough search of the trains.

The DGP asked the people not to be panicky stating that all possible precautionary measures had been taken to meet any eventuality.
