New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Just a day before today's deadly serial blasts in Mumbai, Delhi Police thwarted a similar bid in the Capital by anti-nationals when it arrested a Kashmiri terrorist from Bhism Pitamah Marg in South Delhi and seized more than two kilograms of RDX and about Rs 50 lakhs in cash.

Aijaz Hussein (43), who was in a car, was intercepted following a tip-off at about 1100 hrs and arrested yesterday near NBCC Towers on Bhism Pitamah Marg, DCP (Special Cell) Alok Kumar told UNI.

''Two kilograms and 50 grams of RDX and Rs 49 lakh in cash were recovered from the possession of Hussein who is a resident of Baramulla in Kashmir but lived in Jangpura area here.'' Though his affiliation to any terror group has yet to be established, during interrogation he said he had been working on the directions of one Mukhtiar, based in Pakistan, whom he met in February this year, said the DCP.

''He is a conduit who received money through 'hawala' and would ferry it to Srinagar. The last time he did so was on July 5 when he took Rs 60 lakh there.'' We are still interrogating him to get further details, he added.
