New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Several Muslim organisations today condemned the serial blasts in Mumbai sububran railway.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said whoever was behind the attacks should be handed down the severest punishment under the law.

Appealing to the people to maintain peace and harmony in such troubled times, Jamaat General Secretary Mohammed Jaffer said a speedy inquiry by a competent agency should be conducted to arrest the elements responsible for the ghastly act.

Mr Jaffer expressed his sympathies with the families of those killed and also to those injured in the blasts.

The All India Minorities Front said the people should not allow terrorists to disrupt communal harmony.

The government should strengthen its intelligence network to foil attacks against the people, said Front general secretary Mohammad Yunus Siddiqui.
