Infotrek forms JV with US-based firm to set up E-Exchange
New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Infotrek Syscom today entered into a joint venture with US-based RecycleNet Corporation to set up an electronic exchange.
RecycleNet will provide its software to set up the exchange, E-Exchange India, which will focus on the domestic and international trade of used and scrap electrical equipment, including computers, televisions, telephones and CRT monitors.
''This venture gives RecycleNet Corporation a strong relationship in India, which is currently one of the largest developing markets in the world for importing secondary commodities. E-exchange India will become a building block in RecycleNet's BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) strategy,'' a company release said here.
RecycleNet Corporation was a key participant in Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries' (ISRI) first trade mission to China in September 2005. The institute is planning its first trade mission to India in early 2007, it added.
