Hyundai Motor India hikes prices across all models

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) today announced an increase in the prices of all its models, including its flagship model Santro, ranging from Rs 3,500 to Rs 26,300, to cover increased input costs.

''The price hike has been necessitated by a variety of cost push factors like surge in freight costs and raw material. We have tried to minimise the hike so as to cause as less inconvenience as possible to our customers,'' HMIL Managing Director H S Lheem said.

The price hike in the Getz and Accent models is between Rs 1,600 and Rs 2,601. The highest rise has been in the Elantra (CRDi-LP) model at Rs 26,300. The prices of the general Elantra car have been increased by Rs 6,300.

The Sonata and Tucson models will be costelier by Rs 700 each.

The price increase will come into effect from tomorrow.
