Heavy rainfall continues in UP

Lucknow, July 11 (UNI) Heavy rainfall was reported from most parts of Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hrs and the trend is likely to continue for the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, the toll in rain-related incidents climbed to 38 following three more deaths in Moradabad and Ferozabad districts.

Good amount of rainfall was recorded in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Kanpur, Allahabad, Lucknow, Moradabad and Bareilly divisions.

Temperature plunged below normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad and Allahabad divisions.

Central Water Commission (CWC) here today said all major rivers including Ganga, Yamuna, Ghagra, Gomti, Rapti, Ken and Sharda were rising, but were yet below the danger mark.
