Patna, July 11 (UNI) Patna high court today directed the state government to file reply within two months in connection with recruitment of teachers in all medical colleges and a pharmacy college of the state.

A division bench of the court comprising Chief Justice Dr J N Bhatt and Justice Shiva Kriti Singh passed the order during hearing of a public interest litigation petition filed by Dr Hari Nandan Singh.

Counsel for the petitioner Awadhesh Kumar Mishra informed the court that a large number of posts remained vacant since long in different medical colleges.

Due to lack of sufficient teachers in different faculties of the medical colleges, students were facing great difficulties in their studies, he argued.

Medical Council as well as Pharmacy Council of India had warned the state government to withdraw the recognition of the colleges if vacant posts of teachers were not filled up soon.
